Giant Croc caught in Agusan Marsh, Phillipines

I cant believe what I saw in the news last night, I thought I was watching some animatronic creature used in films. But its true, it maybe the worlds largest crocodile caught alive. The Croc is 21 feet (6.4 meters) and weighs about 1,075 kilograms (2,370 pounds).

The croc was hunted for almost three weeks. It has been reportedly eaten a fisherman and several carabaos. Professional trappers from Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center were given the task to track it down. The team layed down chicken, pork and even dog meat as baits in its known areas. And after escaping it hunters twice it is caught alive and placed in an eco-tourism park.

However, locals are still on the lookout for the mate of the giant crocodile that is still on the loose. Sightings of baby crocs are spotted in the area which proves that there is still another one. According to locals Mrs. Croc is more larger than the one caught (Mr. Croc).

Here are some images of the the giant Croc.

The current World Record according to Guinness is a saltwater crocodile caught in Australia which is 17.97 feet (5.48 meters).
